Terms of sale
Scope
These terms of sale govern the sale of playing cards and collectible objects published by EDLT Éditions de la Tour, a French simplified joint-stock company with a sole shareholder (SASU), share capital €200, Paris Trade and Companies Register no. 943 143 768, registered office 62 bis rue de la Tour, 75116 Paris, France. Full company details are set out in our legal notice.
They apply to every order placed on this site by an individual acting outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Sales to trade customers, resellers and retailers are governed by separate terms, available on request.
Placing an order means accepting these terms in the version published at the time of the order. They are available in French and English; in the event of any discrepancy in interpretation, the French version prevails.
Products
Our products are limited editions. Their essential characteristics are described on each product page. Photographs and visuals are illustrative: colours may vary from screen to screen, and printing and finishing processes may produce slight variations between copies. Such variations do not constitute a defect.
Products are offered while stocks last. A sold-out edition may not be reprinted.
Prices, taxes and duties
Prices are shown in euros, inclusive of all taxes and exclusive of shipping. Shipping is calculated by destination and displayed before payment is confirmed. We do not apply a free-shipping threshold.
For deliveries within France and the European Union, the applicable value added tax is included in the price shown. For deliveries outside the European Union, the order is exempt from French VAT; import duties, taxes or carrier handling fees may be charged on arrival by your local authorities. These amounts are payable by the recipient, are not included in our prices, and cannot be refunded by us.
Prices may change at any time; the price that applies is the one displayed when the order is confirmed.
Placing an order
Orders are placed online: select your items, review your cart, enter your delivery and billing details, choose a shipping method, then pay. Before paying you are shown a full summary allowing you to correct any error. Confirming payment constitutes acceptance of the order and forms the contract.
A confirmation email summarising the order is sent immediately. Please keep it; orders are also archived in our systems.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order on legitimate grounds, including a previous payment dispute, suspected fraud, a quantity clearly intended for resale, or an incomplete delivery address. Any sums already paid are refunded in full.
Payment
We accept payment by card (Visa, Mastercard), PayPal and Apple Pay. The full amount is charged when the order is confirmed.
Transactions are handled by Shopify's secure payment platform. Card details are transmitted in encrypted form and are neither collected nor stored by Les Éditions de la Tour.
Delivery
Orders are prepared and dispatched from Paris within 24 working hours, then delivered in 3 to 7 working days depending on the destination. We ship within France, across the European Union and internationally. In any event, delivery takes place no later than thirty days after the contract is formed.
A tracking email is sent as soon as your order ships. Transit times are indicative and depend on the carrier. If delivery is delayed, let us know; should delivery still not take place within a reasonable further period, you may cancel the order and we will refund you within fourteen days.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the address you provide. A parcel returned as undeliverable or unclaimed may be reshipped at your expense.
Risk passes to you when the parcel is physically handed over. If the packaging is visibly damaged on arrival, please note your reservations with the carrier and tell us straight away, with photographs, so that we can replace or refund the item.
Right of withdrawal
You have fourteen days from receipt of your order to withdraw from the contract, without giving a reason and without penalty. Simply tell us before that period expires, by an unambiguous statement sent to info@editionsdelatour.com, or using the form below.
Items must be returned within fourteen days of that notification, complete, unused and in their original packaging, to: 62 bis rue de la Tour, 75116 Paris, France. Return shipping is at your expense. You are liable only for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the goods.
We refund within fourteen days of receiving the goods back, or of receiving proof that you have sent them, using the same payment method you used for the order. The refund covers the price of the goods and the standard delivery charge you originally paid; if you chose a more expensive delivery method, the difference remains payable by you.
To EDLT Éditions de la Tour, 62 bis rue de la Tour, 75116 Paris, France, info@editionsdelatour.com:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract of sale of the following goods:
Ordered on … / received on …
Order number …
Name of consumer …

Legal guarantees
Consumers have two years from delivery of the goods to invoke the legal guarantee of conformity where a lack of conformity appears. During that period, consumers need only establish the existence of the lack of conformity, not the date on which it appeared.
The legal guarantee of conformity entails an obligation to supply all accessories and installation instructions for conforming goods. Where the contract provides for the continuous supply of digital content or a digital service for more than two years, the legal guarantee applies to that content or service throughout the supply period.
Consumers may also invoke the guarantee against latent defects in the goods sold, within the meaning of article 1641 of the French Civil Code. In that case they may choose between rescission of the sale and a reduction in the price, in accordance with article 1644 of the same code.
These guarantees are provided free of charge and are without prejudice to any commercial warranty that may be granted.
To make a claim under these guarantees, write to info@editionsdelatour.com quoting your order number and, where possible, photographs of the defect.
Customer service and complaints
Complaints may be sent to info@editionsdelatour.com or by post to 62 bis rue de la Tour, 75116 Paris, France. We undertake to reply within five working days and to seek an amicable solution.

Personal data
The data collected when you order is necessary to process and follow up your order. How we handle it is described in our privacy policy, which sets out your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and how to exercise them.
Intellectual property
Buying a product transfers no intellectual property rights. Card artwork, packaging, texts and all elements of the site remain the exclusive property of Les Éditions de la Tour. Any reproduction or commercial exploitation requires prior written consent, on the terms set out in our legal notice.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for a failure to perform caused by an event of force majeure within the meaning of article 1218 of the French Civil Code. If the impediment lasts more than thirty days, the order may be terminated automatically and sums paid are refunded.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. This does not deprive consumers resident in another country of the protection afforded to them by the mandatory rules of the law of their habitual residence.
Failing an amicable solution, a dispute may be brought before the competent court. Consumers may choose the court of the place where they lived when the contract was concluded or where the harmful event occurred.
General provisions
If any clause of these terms is held void or unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue in full effect. Failure to rely on a breach does not waive the right to rely on it later. Les Éditions de la Tour may amend these terms at any time; the version that applies is the one published on the day of the order.
